Palm Beach Pete is the nickname of a Palm Beach, Florida, resident who shares a perceived resemblance with Jeffrey Epstein. Pete first went viral in mid-March 2026 after Instagram user amposey__27 posted a covertly filmed video of him driving his car, noting the resemblance. Pete opened an X / Twitter page and a TikTok page later that month to deny that he is Epstein as conspiracy theories claiming that he is Epstein spread online. Many referenced the conspiracy theories that Epstein is alive amid Pete's virality in March 2026, as he was featured in numerous memes.

History

On March 12th, 2026, Instagram^[1] user amposey__27 posted a video of a man driving his car in South Florida with the overlayed caption, "Epstein out here in South Florida," garnering over 7 million views, 223,000 likes and 5,200 comments in two weeks. In the post, amposey__27 implies that the man driving the convertible resembles Jeffrey Epstein, with many in the comment section agreeing with him.

On March 19th, the man filmed driving opened an X^[2] and TikTok^[3] account with the username @not_jeffepstein and posted his first video, gaining over 4.2 million views in six days.

In the video, he talks about the viral video of him driving and assures viewers that he is not Jeffrey Epstein, saying, "I'm not Jeffrey Epstein, I'm Palm Beach Pete!"

On March 20th, Palm Beach Pete posted another video in which he thanked everybody for their positive comments and further insisted that he is not Jeffrey Epstein, garnering over 4.8 million views on TikTok^[4] and 80,000 likes on X^[5] in five days.

On March 21st, 2026, Palm Beach Pete posted another video on TikTok^[6] discussing his virality and that he wasn't Epstein, which gained over 28 million views in four days.

Palm Beach Pete's appearance inspired many conspiracy theories and memes as his videos went viral in late March 2026. He also appeared in interviews.

On March 20th, 2026, the TMZ Clips YouTube^[7] channel posted a clip of an interview with Palm Beach Pete, where he further insists he's not Epstein but says that he did see Epstein at parties in the past, just never interacted with him.

That day, Redditor Waste-Explanation-76 made a post on the /r/Conspiracy^[8] subreddit comparing Epstein's teeth to Palm Beach Pete's, titling the post, "Palm Beach Pete is Jeffrey Epstein, 100% proof," gaining over 3,000 upvotes in five days.

On March 23rd, Redditor tea-n-wifi posted a Ben 10 meme of Ben transforming into an alien captioned, "Jeffrey Epstein transforming into Palm Beach Pete to live a happy, unpunished life in Florida," to the /r/dankmemes^[9] subreddit, garnering over 6,000 upvotes in two days.

On March 24th, 2026, the Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube^[10] channel uploaded a clip of Pete calling in to the late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live, gaining over 1.9 million views in a day.
