About
Wow, That's So Weird They Just Disappeared refers to a photoshopped image of YouTuber PewDiePie streaming Minecraft having just killed a llama along with the titular subtitle, implying he's not sure what happened to the llama. Variants of the phrase are a running joke in PewDiePie's Minecraft streams, where he cuts the video before killing characters he doesn't want to then claims they disappeared. The related image saw use in image macros starting in mid-2019.
Origin
On July 18th, 2019, u/Tracaz posted an image macro with the top text, "Nobody: PewDiePie:" to /r/PewdiepieSubmissions[5] featuring two photoshopped images of PewDiePie edited over a Minecraft background as if streaming. In the "game" the character has an Infinity Gauntlet. In the first image, PewDiePie is looking at two llamas in his Minecraft sheep pen, saying, "What are you doing on my property? Get out!" In the second he says, "Wow, that's so weird they just disappeared" and the llamas are gone, as if snapped away (shown below). This is the earliest known upload of the meme.
