About
You Got a Charger? also known as You Got a Charger? My Phone Dead, refers to a scene in the 2020 film Body Cam in which a Black male character, Aaron, played by Altonio Jackson, asks a store clerk if he has a charger for his phone. The scene became an exploitable video element in a series of brainrot edits on TikTok in November 2025, largely due to TikToker Cookie King's memetic use of the clip, reminiscent of other trends like Ali, You're a Nice Guy and Johnnie Walker in the War Room With Tristan Tate, among others. The "You Got a Charger?" clip was first used in memes on TikTok in April 2025, though, and later spread to Instagram Reels that year.
