About

Ali, You're a Nice Guy is a series of memes inspired by a viral video clip from a debate between alpha male influencers Ali Sobh, a Muslim, and Ben Azoulay, a Jew, in which they get into a fight over a discussion about their religions, leading Ben to tell Ali, "Ali, you're a nice guy. But you're not speaking to somebody who will just let you speak this way," before nearly getting into a physical fight. The video was uploaded to the WiseNuts YouTube channel in July 2025 and went viral on TikTok in late September and early October as the subject of brainrot meme edits.

Origin

On July 3rd, 2025, the WiseNuts YouTube[1] channel uploaded a sit-down debate between alpha male influencers Ali Sobh and Ben Azoulay. The main topic of discussion is their religions, with Ali being Muslim and Ben being Jewish.

Near the end of the video, at about the 1:32:00 timestamp, Ben is pushing Ali about certain beliefs he disagrees with regarding his understanding of the Muslim faith, saying he disagrees with their extreme punishment, including that gay people, assault victims, etc., should be killed, calling it "too crazy" for him.

Ali says it's more complicated than that, and Ben assures him that he's not disrespecting him, but that Ali needs to let him speak. The two bicker about taking each other's arguments too personally. The producer shows a video of Ali that he believed was targeted at Ben, but Ali says it was not and continues to defend his religion.

Ben then puffs on his cigar and says, "Ali, you're a nice guy. But you're not speaking to somebody who will just let you speak this way. You know?" Ali says, "What the fuck are you going to do about it?" and the two nearly get into a physical fight. The producers rush in to stop them, and the interview ends.

The video gained over 116,000 views in three months.

On September 30th, TikToker[2] @raw_honeyy1 posted an edit of the clip where Ben and Ali have been given pyramid-shaped heads and the voices have been heightened, garnering over 1.5 million views in three days. This is the earliest known edit of the clip.

F Students Are Inventors

F Students Are Inventors refers to a viral video posted by business and fitness influencer Ben Azoulay on his TikTok account (@kingazoulay) in which he states that students who receive F grades are the inventors in society. He further calls them "creative." Azoulay's seen in the clip with a long brown beard and wearing a black tank top. The original video was posted to TikTok and Instagram Reels in mid-April 2025. It gained memes in the following weeks, peaking in early May 2025. Many used the TikTok sound or referenced the catchphrase "F Students Are Inventors" to showcase overly dumb inventions or innovations for ironic effect, mostly at the expense of Hustle Culture and Sigma Grindset content. The meme became intertwined with the Chromebook Durability Test TikTok trend that spread online during the same timeframe as well. An F Students Are Inventors copypasta also surfaced, which used the script of the original video.
