Zabito Boga is a lobotomy meme that grew popular in Elden Ring Reddit communities in December 2024. The phrase "Zabito Boga" translates to "God Slain" in Polish. "God Slain" is the message that appears after the player defeats Radahn in Elden Ring. After a Reddit user posted a photo of him defeating Radahn and receiving the message, various other Elden Ring communities online began sharing memes about the phrase.

Origin

On November 26th, 2024, Redditor[1] /u/gamingr3x posted a screengrab of him defeating Radahn in Elden Ring, an achievement that typically leads to the message "God Slain" appearing on the player's screen. However, the screengrab posted by /u/gamingr3x showed the phrase "Zabito Boga," which translates to "God Was Killed" in Polish. The post gathered over 7,000 points in a month.


The original post featuring the text "Zabito Boga" in the form of a graphic that appears in _Elden Ring_ after a player defeats  Radahn. The English version of the post translates to "God Slain," with _Elden Ring_ fans finding humor in the Polish pronunciation and making memes using the phrase in December 2024.

However, various other Elden Ring players have made posts featuring the phrase "Zabito Boga" to the Elden Ring subreddit, including /u/Religionis,[2] who gathered over 100 points on a June 8th, 2022 post.

Several Redditors on /r/EldenRing began posting Zabito Boga memes in November and December 2024, as seen in a November 27th, 2024 post by /u/I_justwantbig_quads,[3] who posted an Orc alongside the catchphrase. The post gathered over 4,000 points in a month.


Various Redditors began making humorous posts featuring the phrase "Zabito Boga" in November and December 2024, as seen in this post. The replies to the post saw other Redditors spamming the phrase "Zabito Boga" repeatedly.

On December 19th, 2024, Redditor[4] /u/SweetBeardedJesus posted a photo of him defeating Radahn and receiving a "God Slain" message. The replies to the post saw other Redditors spamming the phrase "Zabito Boga" repeatedly (shown below).


Replies to posts made by _Elden Ring_ players who managed to defeat Radahn were spammed with the phrase "Zabito Boga."

Also on December 19th, Redditor[5] /u/midoxvx posted a James Doakes meme and gathered over 2,000 points in a week.
