Meg We Hate Your Dress or Griffin Family Suicide Pact is a piece of Family Guy fan art showing Meg Griffin reacting in shock at the sight of the rest of the family dead by various forms of suicide in the living room, with the message, "Meg we hate your dress!" written in blood on the wall. The art was originally posted by Flickr user ShrecksDepartmentStore in September 2012 and started garnering virality online, particularly on X / Twitter, in May 2025, inspiring memes including redraws and image macros.

Origin

On September 18th, 2012, Flickr^[1] user ShrecksDepartmentStore uploaded a photo of a piece of Family Guy fan art they made on December 30th, 2010, titled "Griffin Family Suicide Pact." The artwork shows the members of the Griffin family dead by various forms of suicide around the living room.

In the image, Brian has hanged himself, Lois has mixed pills and alcohol, Peter has shot himself in the head, Stewie has stabbed himself with a sword and Chris has taken his own life with a lightsaber and disintegrated into only his clothes, like Obi-Wan in Star Wars. On the wall, written in blood, is the message, "Meg we hate your dress," as Meg is seen in the doorway reacting in shock.

In the Flickr description, the artist explained the piece, writing:

It started in a really boring class, with a doodle of Brian hanging himself, a sentiment I desperately wanted to mimic at the time. The class kept going though, so I added Stewie. But, why had these two decided to kill themselves? Of course, to scar Meg. Pretty soon I had pretty much everybody and had worked out how they individually would want to off themselves. Brian is dramatic. Stewie went for the upper-class, poncy, romantic way. Peter did the first thing that came to mind. Chris became one with the Force, hence the lightsaber near his discarded pile of clothes. Lois went the slow way (pills and champagne) so that someone would be around to write the message in blood for Meg to find. That will teach her to try to look pretty!

On May 30th, 2025, X^[3] user @jilroberts reposted the image, writing, "the way they would actually do this," garnering over 124,000 likes and 6,600 reposts in four days. That same day, X^[4] user @comelybluemoons posted the image, writing, "How oomfs of your sona’s species react when u change species," garnering over 1,800 likes in the same span of time.

On May 31st, X^[5] user @BluebriarArts quoted the post by @jilroberts, writing, "wtf even happened to chris did he just get naked and leave," garnering over 188,000 likes and 6,300 reposts in three days. That day, Instagram^[6] user loweffortpeter reposted @jilroberts' post, garnering over 6,000 likes in the same span of time.

On June 2nd, 2025, X^[7] user @skeeterswarm posted a redraw of the artwork, replacing the Family Guy characters with Futurama characters, garnering over 1,500 likes in a day.
