About
The Auntie Gasping video, also known as Gasping Auntie, shows an older Black woman sitting at a table with a water bottle, raising her hand to her mouth and gasping at something that the viewer or meme creator has said or done. It was originally posted on TikTok in early 2022 but soon became a common reaction video on Twitter within gay and LGBTQ+ meme circles. Its captions predominantly followed the "X When Y Walks In" phrasal template from the Vince McMahon Suprised GIF.
