I'm Gonna Brown or I'm Shittsing refers to a webcomic where one character tells a cat-like character he's "gonna brown" then that he's "shittsing," meaning "shitting," followed by the final panel filling with brown. The comic was posted to Twitter by @batbrainzzz in June 2021 and inspired numerous redraws and variations over the course of the year, including animations on YouTube and TikTok.

Origin

On June 19th, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @batbrainzzz posted a four-panel webcomic. In the first panel a distressed looking man with a big lower lip says "ghh im gonna brown!" to a cat-like character, who responds "what?" in the second panel. In the third panel the man yells "I'M SHITTSING?" and the cat character has a horrified look on its face. The final panel is filled in brown and the look on the cat's face is further distressed (shown below). The post gained over 2,100 likes and 260 retweets in six months.

On October 9th, 2021, YouTuber^[2] JaGay posted a voiced over version of the comic, gaining over 25,900 views in two months (shown below).

On November 19th, YouTuber^[5] Damian Castro reuploaded it, gaining over 270,000 views in a month. On the same day, TikToker^[3] @anaken posted the voiced over meme, gaining over 358,000 views in a month. On November 23rd, TikToker^[4] @shlo0py0 posted a new version of the comic over the sound drawing the characters as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters, gaining over 1.4 million views in three weeks (shown below).

On November 24th, YouTuber^[6] UTGA out. posted a fully animated version of the comic, gaining over 85,600 views in three weeks (shown below).

On December 8th, YouTuber logan the peashooter234 posted a version referencing Angry Birds, gaining over 10,000 views in a week (shown below).
