Who Woulge? "Dinner" It Is My Cat refers to a series of exploitable image macros parodying the Who Would Win? meme format using the titled caption over top of an image of a cat and a cat's dinner, respectively. The original meme was posted to Tumblr in October 2017 and inspired numerous variations over the following years.

Origin

On October 31st, 2017, Tumblr^[1] user hollowtones posted a parody response to two "Who Would Win?" memes about cats. The meme changes the "who would win" caption to "Who Woulge?" with an image of a tin of Fancy Feast on the left and a cat on the right, labeled, "Dinner" and "It is my cat" (shown below). The post gained over 268,000 notes in five years.

Spread

On November 9th, 2020, Tumblr^[2] user papuurgate posted, "every time i feed my cat i think of who woulge? 'dinner' it is my cat," followed by, "oh this post is actually incomprehensible isn’t it," and the meme, garnering over 131,000 notes in two years. On the same day, the post was shared to /r/tumblr,^[3] garnering over 1,800 upvotes in two years. On December 16th, Hollowtones, the creator of the meme, shared the post informing the user that they created it, showing proof of the meme's creation date.^[4]

On April 26th, 2021, Bored Panda^[5] added an original meme using the same caption and format in their "Hey Pandas, What Is Your Favorite Meme Of All Time?" article (shown below, left). On May 26th, the meme was featured in a YouTube^[6] video by Oz Media, gaining over 630,000 views in a year. On June 23rd, Tumblr^[7] user its-raining-rats-and-frogs posted a meme referencing the original, garnering over 18,000 notes in a year (shown below, right).

On March 29th, 2022, Instagram^[8] user uncreativeseaurchin reposted the original meme, garnering over 25,000 likes in five months. On August 19th, Tumblr^[9] user theskyprism posted a new version of the meme, garnering over 3,900 notes in five days (shown below).
