Why I Am Scared Of Nikocado Avocado or Our Final Video Together Mukbang is a redraw meme format based on a screenshot of YouTuber Stephanie Soo's video titled, "Why I Am Scared Of Nikocado Avocado," appearing overtop of Nikocado Avocado's video, "Our Final Video Together • MUKBANG." The screenshot was uploaded to Reddit's /r/cringetopia subreddit in November 2020 and became the subject of redraws over the following years in which the people who appear in the video's thumbnails are replaced with other characters and the video titles are altered.

Origin

On December 21st, 2019, YouTuber^[1] Stephanie Soo posted a video titled "Why I Am Scared Of Nikocado Avocado" in which she speaks out against YouTuber Nikocado Avocado, garnering over 16 million views in five years.

On November 8th, 2020, Nikocado uploaded an unrelated mukbang video to his More Nikocado YouTube^[2] channel titled "Our Final Video Together • MUKBANG," garnering over 1.5 million views in four years.

On November 20th, an unknown Redditor posted a screenshot of these two videos appearing on their YouTube app one after the other to the private subreddit /r/cringetopia,^[3] highlighting the contrast in the thumbnails, with Soo's featuring her crying and Nikocado's featuring him gorging on food, garnering an unknown number of interactions in four years. On December 20th, the screenshot was reposted to /r/FunnyandSad,^[4] garnering around 40 upvotes in the same span of time.

The meme gained viral spread over the following years, inspiring redraws. On February 16th, 2021, it was reposted to the subreddit /r/JamesMarriott,^[5] garnering over 200 upvotes in three years. On September 21st, 2022, the earliest known redraw of the screenshot was posted to /r/Deltarune,^[6] referencing the video game Deltarune, garnering over 570 upvotes in two years. The meme is credited to now-deleted X artist @arcoiriasart.

On October 3rd, 2023, X^[7] user @ posted a redraw of the meme referencing characters from the game Wily Beast and Weakest Creature, garnering over 2,700 likes in a year. On May 3rd, 2024, a redraw of the meme was posted to the subreddit /r/DungeonMeshi,^[8] referencing Dungeon Meshi, that garnered over 1,400 upvotes in four months.

On August 1st, 2024, X^[9] user @nerdyomniman posted a redraw of the meme featuring characters from Invincible, garnering over 3,900 likes in a month.

On September 2nd, iFunny^[10] user hxrrxrcxre posted a redraw referencing Breaking Bad, garnering over 9,500 smiles in 10 days. It was reposted by X^[11] user @hourly_shitpost on September 11th, garnering over 85,000 likes in a day.
