Since its debut on January 9, 2011, the series has broadcast 55 episodes. While reviews for the first season were mixed, subsequent reviews have been positive. The series premiere, "Human Flesh", drew in 9.38 million viewers, making it the highest-rated series premiere of the season and also finished 9th in the ratings for the week it aired.
History
The Belcher family was created by the director, Loren Bouchard after developing Home Movies, a TV show for the now defunct network UPN. Before the show was aired, the team created a proof of concept so Fox Broadcasting Company knew what to expect if they bought the show. In the Belcher family, there was a character known as Daniel, who was dropped and replaced as Tina
Characters
The main characters are the Belcher family, made up of Bob, Linda, Tina, Louise and Gene. Bob is the father of Tina, Louise and Gene, and is the owner of Bob's Burgers. Linda is the wife of Bob and usually will do the majority of the work around the house. Louise is the youngest member of the family, and is often portrayed as slightly destructive and very energetic. Tina is a 14 year old who has just hit puberty, resulting in her often wondering about boys, and going out with Bob's business rival's son Jimmy Pesto Jr. Gene owns a MIDI Keyboard sampler, and often plays a fart noise or a dog's bark on this instrument.
