Squidward Yell refers to a series of YouTube Poop Music Videos (YTPMVs) using sound effects from the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants. The original video used a sound bite of the character Squidward Tentacles yelling, "There's two of them?" and showed an image of him running with his tongue out, which warped along with the beat. Different images and clips from SpongeBob SquarePants were shown throughout the Squidward Yell video's duration, ending with a JPG of SpongeBob dancing on a football field. The original Squidward Yell song was a drill rap beat mixed with a Jersey Club dance beat. The original meme was shared on YouTube in late 2024, and soon spread to Twitter / X. Squidward Yell memes, songs and remixes spread to other video platforms like Instagram and TikTok in 2025.

Origin

On December 14th, 2024, YouTuber^[1] Dylan Wyatt Gordon Beats posted a video called "Squidward Yell," which was a drill rap beat mixed with a Jersey Club dance beat using sound effects from the cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants. Over six months, the video gained over 138,700 views (shown below).

The song's main sample was Squidward Tentacles yelling, "There's two of them?" from the season 5 episode "Stanley S. SquarePants."^[2][3] The image of Squidward running with his tongue out, which is seen warping in the video, was sourced from the season 3 episode "Just One Bite."^[4]

The YouTuber also shared the Squidward Yell beat to SoundCloud ^[5] on December 14th, gaining over 20,000 plays in six months (shown below).

Spread

On December 14th, 2024, X^[6] user @WORSTFNFSONGS reposted the Squidward Yell video, gaining over 1,100 likes in six months.

On January 16th, 2025, YouTuber^[7] kataKombe posted a remix of the original Squidward Yell song, gaining over 16,700 views in five months (shown below).

On January 20th, YouTuber^[8] Nitas posted a Squidward Yell remix, gaining over 23,700 views in five months (shown below).

More iterations surfaced on YouTube in the following months, like videos shared by YouTuber Jakublish in May 2025 (since deleted), which were reuploaded by others on the platform. For instance, on June 13th, 2025, YouTuber^[9] I havent paid taxes reuploaded Jakublish's "Squidward Yell 3," gaining over 3,000 views in nine days (shown below).

On June 3rd, Instagram^[10] user @smurf_kobain posted a video, which combined the scene from the episode "Stanley S. SquarePants" with the original Squidward Yell video, which plays when Squidward exclaims, "There's two of them?" Over three weeks, the Reel received over 70,400 likes (shown below).

On June 12th, 2025, TikToker^[11] @prankkrxw posted a screen-recording of the abovementioned Reel, showing them watching the start and then skipping to the end where SpongeBob is seen dancing on a football field. The user added a caption reading, "Instagram has to get blown off the earth, bro, what is TS?" Over 12 days, the video gained over 146,200 likes (shown below).
