I Was With Tristan Tate and We Were Drinking refers to a podcast clip of grindset influencer Luke Belmar talking about drinking with Tristan Tate, the brother of Andrew Tate. Belmar's soundbite was used to mock his apparent adoration of the Tate brothers, akin to slang terms like Glazing. The clip, along with other clips of Belmar, were used in Lobotomy, Brainrot, Sludge Content videos on Instagram and TikTok in late 2024 and early 2025. The clip was often combined with the Chopped Chin meme and the I Bought a Property in Egypt meme featuring fellow Hustle Culture influencer Cameron Eastwood, also known as CamEasty.

Origin

On August 11th, 2024, Luke Belmar was interviewed on the CEOCAST podcast on YouTube.^[1] On August 19th, the CEOCAST CLIPS channel posted a clip from the podcast to YouTube^[2] about "Luke Belmar on His Relationship With Andrew & Tristan Tate," receiving over 4,600 views in five months. At the video's 1:10-minute mark (shown below), Belmar says, "I was with Tristan Tate and we were drinking. We were drinking. It was crazy."
