Other Countries Having Cursed Energy refers to a series of Jujutsu Kaisen memes that imagine cursed energy being used by sorcerers from countries other than Japan. The memes typically reference cultural stereotypes and common cliches from memes about these countries.

Origin

In the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime series, cursed energy is a power source used by sorcerers to fuel their sorcery-related abilities.[1] In the series, the ability to harness the energy is almost exclusively limited to Japan.

>Jujutsu Kaisen

One of the few super popular anime and manga of the current decade that I haven't managed to actually connect with. I remember checking the first episode out around the time it started, and I just couldn't really get into it. The main character just felt extremely unmotivated and uninteresting. It also didn't help that it used the now extremely over-used "monster hunter" premise that way too many modern manga use. "Humanity is in danger from monsters that want to eat them or use them for something, and everything is up to the monster hunter organization that has weapons or powers that are effective against the monsters to protect humanity." Seriously, way too many modern manga use that premise! Granted, sometimes they just use it at start and branch out later on, but still.
