Pin-Up Girl Eating Crackers In Bed and Reading With Legs Up refers to a series of redraw memes based on the cover of the 1955 joke book Crackers In Bed by Vic Fredericks, featuring a drawing of a red-haired woman eating crackers in bed and reading a book with her legs up in the air. In late February 2025, the image was posted to X / Twitter by user @agenitty_ with a prompt suggesting people draw their OCs as the woman, inspiring a wave of artwork on sites including X, Tumblr, Reddit and Instagram over the following days.

Origin

In 1955, author Vic Fredericks released the book Crackers In Bed, which is described as containing "Jokes, gags, cartoons and funny stories that will bring sunshine into your nights." The cover features a drawing of a woman in a pin-up style eating crackers in bed and reading a pocketbook with her legs raised in the air.[1]

The earliest known redraw of the image was posted by X[2] user @Miss_Darien_ on January 9th, 2025, garnering over 485 likes in two months.

On February 25th, 2025, X[3] user @agenitty_ posted a cropped edit of the original image that removes the text from the wall, writing, "people should draw their ocs like this I'm so serious," garnering over 158,000 likes and 16,000 reposts in a week. The post inspired a wave of redraws over the following days, which also spread to other platforms.

For example, on February 27th, X[4] user @dxadfish posted a redraw of the image depicting the pin-up model as Maria from Silent Hill, garnering over 4,900 likes in a week.

On March 2nd, Instagram[7] user insomniac_red posted a redraw of the image featuring Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099), garnering over 8,000 likes in four days.
