Metal Beat is the main theme music to the 1993 Game Boy game Metal Masters. The music has resulted in several fan works, including YTPMVs and song covers.

Origin

The Game Boy game Metal Masters was released in December of 1993,[1] which was a port from the original release on the Commodore Amiga. The Game Boy port used music composed by Alberto José González, with the main tune titled as Metal Beat. The earliest known posting of the song to YouTube (shown below) was on May 1st, 2010, by explod2A03[2] where it received over 232,000 views in fifteen years.



Spread

The earliest known YTPMVs of the song were posted to YouTube in 2012. On April 1st, 2012, gomba[3] posted a YTPMV of the song using a Porky Pig cartoon to YouTube (shown below), which received over 11,000 views in thirteen years.



On April 22nd, 2012, Robproductions183[4] posted a YTPMV of the song using Disney's Recess to YouTube (shown below), which received over 47,000 views in thirteen years.



On June 20th, 2016, Fizzy K[5] posted a YTPMV of the song using various Normal Boots and Hidden Block YouTubers, incuding Jontron and Projared, to YouTube (shown below), which received over 62,000 views in over eight years.



On January 11th, 2017, Hoffy1138[6] posted a YTPMV of the song using We Are Number One from Lazytown to YouTube (shown below), which received over 76,000 views in over eight years.
